RIIMPO317F Conduct Roller Operations

This course is designed to provide participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to operate a roller for compacting materials, particularly relevant to the civil construction and resource industries. It is important to note that this course does not cover the full competency needed to independently load and unload equipment.

Participants will be required to demonstrate their competence in the following areas:

Pre-Operational Procedures: Conducting thorough pre-start checks and implementing correct shutdown procedures to ensure the roller is safe and ready for use.
Equipment Operation: Safely and effectively operating the roller in various site conditions, with a focus on precision and adherence to safety protocols.
Material Compaction: Completing tasks that involve compacting different types of materials, ensuring compliance with site-specific requirements and industry standards.
Loading and Unloading Assistance: Providing support in the safe loading and unloading of the roller from a trailer, following best practices and safety guidelines.
Safety and Security: Properly parking and securing the roller after use, in accordance with safety procedures and site regulations.
