HRW Elevating Work Platform (EWP) Over 11m
Our Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Above 11m course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate boom-type elevating work platforms with a boom length of 11 metres or more. This nationally recognised training (where applicable) focuses on safe operation, hazard identification, risk control, and compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
HRW Elevating Work Platform (EWP) Over 11m
This course covers both theoretical and practical training to ensure participants can operate EWPs safely and efficiently in line with WHS legislation and site requirements. It is suitable for those needing to conduct tasks at height using boom lifts, scissor lifts, or other EWPs with a platform height over 11m.
Key learning outcomes include:
- Identify hazards and apply risk controls
- Conduct pre-start checks and inspections
- Safely operate an EWP above 11m
- Use PPE and fall protection correctly
- Position and manoeuvre the EWP safely
- Follow workplace safety procedures
- Respond to emergencies
- Shut down and secure equipment properly
Entry Requirements
To enrol in this course, participants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have basic English language, literacy, and numeracy skills
- Provide valid photo identification
- Be physically capable of operating machinery safely
- Wear appropriate PPE (steel-cap boots, high-vis clothing, etc.)
- Hold a USI (if required in your country, e.g., Australia)
Payment & Booking Terms
Payment in full is required at enrolment and must be made at least 4 days before your course date to secure your booking.
STEP123 complies with RTO standards and does not collect over $1,500 in advance. Payment options include credit/debit card, bank transfer, Afterpay, or approved group/workplace invoicing. For those facing financial difficulty, flexible arrangements can be discussed prior to enrolment.
Refunds are only available for cancellations made 48+ hours before class (50% refund). Cancellations within 48 hours or after class starts are non-refundable. Refunds are processed within 14 days.
Reschedule requests made more than 24 hours before class are allowed once for free. Requests within 24 hours require a new booking and payment. If STEP123 cancels or reschedules a class, students will be offered an alternative date at no extra cost.
