Load Restraint Awareness
This non-accredited Load Restraint Awareness course provides learners with a general understanding of how loads should be selected, positioned, stabilised and restrained for transport.
The course covers legal responsibilities, load characteristics, vehicle suitability, load distribution, exclusion zones, journey checks and common restraint methods, including tie-down, direct restraint and blocking. Learners are also introduced to webbing straps, chains, ropes, anchor points, chocks, dunnage, corner protectors and other restraint equipment.
The course is delivered entirely online and includes a knowledge assessment.
Load Restraint Awareness
This course applies to workers, drivers, loaders, supervisors and other personnel involved in loading, restraining, inspecting or transporting loads. It is suitable for people working in transport, logistics, warehousing, construction, civil construction and related industries.
The course is designed for general awareness purposes only. It does not provide a nationally recognised qualification or replace workplace-specific procedures, practical training, vehicle licences or other legal requirements.
Entry Requirements
To enrol in this course, participants must:
- Have sufficient English language, literacy and digital skills to understand the course content and complete the online assessment.
- Have access to a computer, tablet or smartphone with a reliable internet connection.
- Have a current email address.
- Be able to complete the course and assessment independently.
Payment & Booking Terms
Payment in full is required at the time of enrolment. Access to the online course will only be provided once payment has been received.
STEP123 complies with applicable RTO standards and does not collect more than $1,500 in advance from an individual learner. Payment options include credit or debit card, bank transfer, Afterpay, or approved group or workplace invoicing.
Cancellations requested before online course access is provided are eligible for a 50% refund. Once login details have been issued or the learner has accessed the course, no refund will be provided. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 days. This does not affect the learner’s rights under Australian Consumer Law.
A learner may request to transfer their enrolment to another person or defer their course access once at no additional cost, provided the course has not been accessed or commenced. Once the course has commenced, a new enrolment and payment may be required.
If STEP123 cancels the course or is unable to provide access, learners will be offered replacement access, an alternative course or a refund at no additional cost.
